All Aboard!!

To all train enthusiasts!! Why not spend a Sunday playing with trains! Head down to Semaphore Road between September and April with your children or grandchildren or for that matter to revisit your own childhood love of trains! Have fun playing with the model trains at the South Australian N' Gauge Society display on the ground floor of the Semaphore RSL Building at 10 Semaphore Road and then hop onboard the Semaphore to Fort Glanville Steam Railway ride from 12pm departing from the Semaphore Foreshore. After lunch and perhaps an ice cream at sunny Semaphore you can head off into Port Adelaide to the National Railway Museum in Lipson Street South to finish off the day's excitement. Click here for further information.

Slip Slide Away!

Don your bathers, your sunnies and your sunscreen, grab your family and friends and get on down to the Waterslide Complex at the Semaphore Foreshore for a great day out. The Semaphore Waterslide is 70 metres long and a fun way to cool down on warm days. You can also enjoy the Ferris Wheel, Mini Golf and other amusements at the Waterside Complex as well as nearby attractions like the Semaphore Carousel, the playground, the Steam Train, Skate Ramp and Semaphore jetty and beach. All you need for a great day out at the seaside! Click here for further information.

Dangle a Line!

Pack your rod or crab pot, some bait, your lunch or some chops and sausages for the barbie, grab some drinks and find yourself a spot to settle for a day's fishing on Semaphore Jetty. You'll get to join the locals for a yarn and enjoy the sea air and local views while tending your line or pot. Have a picnic lunch on the Foreshore Reserve where public BBQs and seating are supplied for your use. And if your luck is out, you've still had a great time and you can always brag about the fish that got away!

Dog Day Out!

Did you know that Semaphore was recently named by national pet magazine Adore as among the top places in the country to enjoy a great coffee with your best friend of the four-legged variety? So round up your two-legged and four-legged friends for a jaunt down Semaphore way! You can have a leisurely coastal walk or a more energetic beach run, followed by a swim in the sea, a rinse off under the beachside shower and then enjoy lunch and an expresso or glass of wine with the locals and their dogs at the Semaphore Road eateries where a warm welcome can be assured!

Ladies, spoil yourselves!

Feeling stressed? Can't remember the last time you caught up with friends? Then plan an outing to Semaphore with your best friends! Book in for a soothing massage, manicure and pedicure at the local beauty shops, followed by a new hairstyle and perhaps some much needed retail therapy. Wind up a wonderful day out with lunch or dinner, and perhaps a movie or if you'd prefer, just enjoy a glass of wine in good company while watching the sun fall into the sea!
